Pre-Tournament FAQsQuestions about Divisions and YardagesWhat age division do I play? Players on the FCWT play in the division for their current age. So a player who is 13, may play the Boys 11-13 division until his 14th birthday. Upon turning 14, that player must move to the Boys 13-15 division. Please consider a player's age when registering for future events, as it is not always possible to move a player at tournament time. The Girls division allows for a little more flexibility as a 13 year old may choose to play in the Girls 11-14 division OR the Girls 13-18 division. She may also choose to play in the Girls 11-14 for some events and the Girls 13-18 for other events. I am playing the 11-13 boys division, and the website is showing 6300 yards. Am I playing from that yardage? The FCWT tees are set up by the Tournament Director upon arrival at the course. Once the course is set up, then the TD will adjust the yardage, etc. for each age division. You can also go to our yardage page to get an idea of the yardage used for each division. Please see the answer to the previous question as well. I am playing the practice round early, can you tell me what yardage I will be playing? Our best advice on this is to look to see if we have played that event previously. Go to our RESULTS for previous seasons, then click on Leaderboard next to the event. Choose the Correct age division and click on a player's name. Click FULL SCORECARD, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on PRINTABLE scorecard. That will give you an idea of how this event plays for your age division. Preparing for the TournamentHow do I find the FCWT Tournament Field? To locate a Tournament Field, click on SCHEDULE, then click on INFO next to the event. About a month prior to the event, a PLAYERS box will be posted on this page. Click on View All at the bottom of that box to see an alpha listing of players. If you click on the arrow next to Division you can sort the players by division. When are TEE Times posted and how do I find mine? Tee times are generally posted at 5pm local time on the Wednesday prior to the event. (For events that start on a day other than Saturday, the tee times are posted two days prior to the practice round at 5pm local time). To locate a tee time, go to www.fcwtgolf.com click on SCHEDULE then click on INFO next to the Tournament of Interest. On the LEFT side under ROUNDS look for the PAIRINGS link (underlined in blue) - click there to view. You can sort Alphabetically by Player and starting hole (#1 or #10). What time will the event be over? The estimated time of completion for the Final Round is 3:30 pm. However, the FCWT does not recommend making travel arrangements that require departure before 6pm because weather delays and other unanticipated circumstances can delay the start of the final round. What if I need to CANCEL my registration? If you need to cancel from an event, please use your id and pw and log into the Player’s Club then click on the TOURNAMENTS tab. Locate the event you need to cancel on the Tournament list and then click the CANCEL button next to that event. You should receive an automated email receipt of your cancellation request. If you do not, the cancellation probably did not go through. If the cancellation period has passed, you will need to send an email to info@fcwtgolf.com with the player's name and the reason for WD. Members: CLICK HERE and scroll to # 7 for a screen shot of the cancel button How do I update my credit card information for an event balance?
If you need to update your credit card information, log in with the player's id and pw and then in the top right corner next to the player's name click on the circular icon. Next click on SETTINGS -that will take you to the player's My Account section. Click on the Transactions link and then on the left you would click on the link that says Not Processed next to this event - at the bottom of that page you will click on Change Credit Card Info. You will need to do this for each transaction that needs to be changed as they are all set up individually.
When is On-site Registration and what if I cannot attend? Tournament registration on the practice round day is not required, but is preferred. If a player cannot make it to the official registration time, then what we recommend is that he/she arrive 15 minutes prior to their Round One tee time and let the FCWT staff know that he/she is on site. A player can then complete the registration process at the end of Round One, when turning in their scorecard. Questions about Tournament PlayAre pull carts permitted during Tournament play? Push and pull Carts are permissible during FCWT tournaments as long as the host facility does not have a rule against them. Caddies are NOT permitted. Are spectator carts permitted during Tournament play? The FCWT policy is "No Spectator Carts" unless the person has a handicap license or a special situation is approved by the FCWT staff. A special circumstance such as recent knee surgery, etc, should be submitted in advance for review so that the staff on site will be aware of your situation. Please send the email to info@fcwtgolf.com . The FCWT reserves the right to permit spectator carts if conditions, such as safety issues or course logistics, deem them appropriate. The FCWT staff on site will provide information at the individual events. Are yardage devices permitted during Tournament play? For the 2011-2012 FCWT season “a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. If, during astipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional function is actually used.” (Appendix I)
